December 12, 1997

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - The Jefferson County Commissioners voted Thursday to gather information before next week's meeting to decide if a moratorium should be placed on communication towers while an ordinance governing them is drafted.

County Planning Director Paul Raco said the Planning Commission is seeking a moratorium until the ordinance is completed.

The county commissioners voted to collect some preliminary information and then discuss a possible moratorium at next week's meeting.

Raco said there are no applications for communication towers pending.
