The Christmas tree and traditional holiday silhouettes at City Park will be lit tonight at 7:30, said Downtown Coordinator Karen Giffin.
Earlier, the Remembrance Tree at Rose Hill Cemetery will be lit at 6:30 p.m.
The annual lighting and following procession to City Park are part of a ceremony to remember lost loved ones during the holiday season.
The South Hagerstown High School Choir is expected to lead the remembrance walk to City Park.
The traditional silhouettes of snowflakes, trees, deer, swans and an angel at the park will be joined this year by new silhouettes at the Mansion House and Hager House, including ones related to the Civil War at the Hager House.
Following the lighting in City Park, receptions will be held at the Mansion House and Hager House with free food and drinks, Giffin said.
