Christmas luncheon set for Thursday

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Area Hospital Auxiliary will hold its annual Christmas luncheon at noon Thursday at St. John's United Church of Christ, Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg.

Entertainment will be provided by the Chambersburg Area Senior High School Choristers. New members will be honored.

Chamber breakfast slated for Friday

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Rise & Shine breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Friday at the Holiday Inn Martinsburg.

The guest speaker will be James Spears of James Rumsey Technical Institute, who will discuss new initiatives and programs.

The cost for members is $10 in advance and $13 if billed; for nonmembers, $20 in advance only.

Mural prints for sale

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A folk art mural painted by Chambersburg elementary school students was unveiled Tuesday night at a program at Falling Spring Elementary School.

Under the direction of local artist Teresa Swain, the students began the project last month, painting several local points of interest, including the old Franklin County Courthouse, the YMCA and Chambersburg Area Middle School.

Prints of the mural are available for $10 by calling the school at 1-717-261-3439.
