"I've got a question. How is it when a vehicle is parking on Franklin Street and there's two cars behind them waiting and someone hits them in the rear even though it's a fire department vehicle the captain of the vehicle does not get charged. If this would be anyone else would they get charged? Someone please let me know. Thank you."
"Congratulations to the Clear Spring firefighters on the good job well done on trick-or-treat night in Clear Spring. Very thoughtful and they were all willing workers and caring. Come on people, let's support the firefighters in the future in the ways we can. Thank you again for a job well done."
"Hi, I would like to wish my husband Rick Roser a very happy 47th birthday, and to congratulate him on our new arrival of Kaitlyn. Thank you very much."
"The school year has barely started yet and we have principals, coaches and teachers quitting. What's wrong with our Washington County School Board?"
"Good afternoon Mail Call. I watched the parade last night, the Mummers' Parade on Channel 6, and I really enjoyed it and I must admit that to see the County Commissioners all in line all waving and smiling I would assume that this was their wave goodbye to the Washington County residents. Thank you."
"Hi. I'm calling in reference to the person in Friday's paper who said the parade was a flop, and one of the reasons was because the bands were not in uniform. Well as a parent of a North High student let me explain, we had a competition that day over at South High, and they were all marching in the mud and their uniforms were completely splattered with mud. Would you have liked to have seen them march with muddy uniforms? Or in jeans and T-shirts that were all matching? Thank you."
"I was calling to give my opinion as everyone else has in the paper. You know I find it pretty sad the way people take things and issues. I mean I work with the public, and I know the public can be very cruel and critical. You know people should be happy for one another, not criticize. You know, maybe if they got rid of welfare and put more police officers in there, you know, people would have jobs. We pay taxes for that and why should we? We pay taxes for someone to save our life. What's more important and people shouldn't be petty, they should be happy for someone if they were in that position. They wouldn't want people criticizing them, I mean he's a good person, do they honestly really know this person. Has anybody got to know him. It's a shame."
"Hi, you probably won't print this but I bet no one out there has a neighbor like mine. A good neighbor. She says she thinks about me from the time she opens her eyes in the morning until she closes them at night. Why I don't know. Thank you."
"I was wondering why with all the money that the board has spent to have our schools' roofs fixed why some of them are still leaking. I know everyone has problems in their jobs, but I cannot understand when they come time and time again to fix our high school why those roofs are still leaking. And I know it not only grieves the teachers and the principals and the custodians, the students and now the parents. I really feel it's time that the roofing company gets its act together. and gets those roofs fixed. Because we shouldn't have all that water. Even though it's a drip drip coming into our schools."
"For whoever found the keys on Mitchell Avenue, I would like you to call this number 301-714-0374. There's a black square key on one of them, and there should be several other keys, thank you."
