MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A 33-year-old Berkeley County man died Wednesday afternoon at Winchester Medical Center of injuries he suffered in a one-vehicle accident on W.Va. 45 West.

West Virginia State Police said Tony M. Beach, of 905 Sandy Drive, Martinsburg, died at 5:28 p.m. at the medical center in Winchester, Va. He had been taken there in critical condition after the 3:30 p.m. accident, which occurred four-tenths of a mile west of Union Corners Road.

Trooper D.M. Olack reported that Beach was westbound when he lost control of the 1990 Jeep Cherokee Sport. The Jeep hit a guardrail and was catapulted into the air, flipping over several times before landing on its roof, the report said.

The Jeep struck the guardrail several times as it was flipping over and Beach was thrown from the vehicle, according to Olack's report. Beach was the only person in the Jeep, the report said.
