Student recitals planned

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Cumberland Valley School of Music will feature 43 students at a student recital at 7 p.m. today in Thomson Chapel on the Wilson College campus, Chambersburg.

Admission is free.

The program includes:

* "Leibestraum Malaguena" by Liszt and arranged by Alfred, performed by Meghan Looney, piano.

* "Fantasia in d minor" by Mozart, performed by Elizabeth Denning, piano.

* "Sonatina, op. 55, no. 1" by Kuhlau, performed by Melanie Emig.

* "Puss and Boots," adapted by Jon Vickers-Jones, performed by the Waynesboro Creative Drama Classn "Gavotte" by Handel, performed by Emily Volgstadt, flute, and Andrew Bidlack, guitar.

* "The Big Big Smelly Dragon," written by Vickers-Jones, performed by the Chambersburg Creative Drama Class

* "On My Own" by Claude-Michel Schonberg, performed by Lindsey Shoap, soprano.

* "Scenes, Sketches and Improv," performed by the Young Actor's Workshop


Suzuki violin students Tiffany Cutshall, Daniel Emig, Judah Fickett, Nathaniel Fickett, Seth Fickett, Jack Geiger, Christa Hoover, JoAnna Hoover, Haleigh Malosky, Miles Nelson, Natasha Sukerkar and Neha Sukerkar will perform the following:

* "Gavotte" by J.S. Bach

* "Concerto no. 5," third movement, by F. Seitz

* "Gavottes in D" by J.S. Bach

* "Hunter's Chorus" by C.M. von Weber

* "Minuet No. 1" by J.S. Bach

* Folk songs, "Song in the Wind," "Twinkle Star" and "Charlie Brown and Snoopy"
