MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Berkeley County CROP Walk against hunger will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, beginning at the War Memorial Park main pavilion on Tennessee Avenue in Martinsburg.
The 5K route will begin at the pavilion, go south on Tennessee Avenue, east on Burke Street, south on Queen Street, west on King Street, north on Delaware Avenue and end at the park.
Proceeds from the walk will go to Church World Service, which provides food, health supplies and blankets to needy people all over the world. Twenty-five percent of the money raised will benefit the Community Christian Action Project in Berkeley County.
Pledge sheets are available at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 547 N. Queen St. in Martinsburg. Donations can be brought to the park Sunday or sent to the Berkeley County CROP Walk, c/o Gil Lockwood, Trinity United Methodist Church, 220 W. Martin St., Martinsburg, W.Va. 25401.
