October 09, 1997

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - A former Ranson, W.Va., doctor was found guilty Wednesday in Jefferson County Circuit Court of failing to pay taxes and file tax reports in 1995 and 1996.

Dr. Ardyce Bull, whose medical license expired in 1996, will be sentenced Dec. 8.

Circuit Judge Christopher Wilkes ordered a pre-sentence investigation after the jury returned guilty verdicts Wednesday on two counts of failure to account for and pay another person's state withholding tax, two counts of attempted evasion of West Virginia health care provider's tax, five counts of failure to file a tax return, and one count of attempted evasion of West Virginia personal income tax.

She is being held at the Eastern Regional Jail pending her December sentencing.

Bull, 43, had been convicted in March of obstruction of justice for taking papers out of her medical office while police searched it using a search warrant in August 1996.
