The schedule

The 1997 Washington County Women's Fair will be at Frostburg State University's Hagerstown campus Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following events are scheduled:

9 to 10 a.m. - registration and exhibits, FSU, 20 Public Square

9:30 a.m. - music and entertainment, FSU

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. - workshops, FSU

10 a.m. to noon - Women at the Table, Tres School for the Arts, 7 S. Potomac St. This panel discussion is for women considering elective office as well as people interested in supporting them.

noon to 1 p.m. - lunch and exhibits

1 to 1:30 p.m. - music and entertainment, Tres School for the Arts

1:30 to 2 p.m. - keynote speaker Del. Sue Hecht, D-Washington/Frederick, Tres School for the Arts

4 to 4:30 p.m. - exhibits, FSU


Registration is $4 in advance and $5 the day of the fair.

Free child care will be provided for ages 2 through 12 at Hagerstown YMCA, 149 N. Potomac St.
