Six arrested in drug bust

Police Wednesday raided a home in Noland Village and arrested six people in connection with drugs and weapons violations, authorities said.

Hagerstown City Police, working with the Washington County Narcotics Task Force, seized large amounts of cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two handguns and four long-arm rifles and shotguns from 971 Noland Drive.

Police also seized a large amount of cash, authorities said.

Two juveniles were released to their parents. The six adults charged include:

* Russell Polland, of 971 Noland Drive, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, two counts of possession of cocaine and maintaining a common nuisance.

* Jason Polland, of 971 Noland Drive, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

* Veronica Hurley, of Rt. 1 in Falling Waters, W.Va., was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

* Cynthia Eichielberger, of 146 E. Washington Street in Hagerstown, was charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

* Kevin Lee Brown, of 405 W. Martin St. in Martinsburg, W.Va., was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Shandu Nalls, of 2003 7th Ave. in New York, N.Y., was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
