Suspect named in assault

HANCOCK - Maryland State Police have identified a suspect in the case involving a woman who was hit on the head with the butt of a handgun Thursday as Robert Anthony Crosby, 19.

Crosby is believed to be in the Hagerstown area, police said Saturday. He is described as being a black male, thin build, 5 foot, 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds.

The victim, who policed have not identified, was originally believed to have been shot. She was treated and released.

The incident occurred at Tollgate Ridge and McKinley Drive in Hancock, a trailer court.

Chambersburg man faces DUI charge

CHAMBERSBURG,Pa. - State police charged Rodney Tyler Schuman, 34, with driving under the influence following a one-vehicle accident on Crottlestown Road in Hamilton Township Thursday.


Schuman, of Chambersburg, whose address was unavailable, rolled his 1987 Oldsmobile three times in a field. He was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Three booked on drug charges

FREDERICK, MD. - Three men were booked on drug related charges by Maryland State Police in Frederick following a search of an apartment at 340 B Fieldpoint Blvd. Thursday.

Charged were John Eugene Moore, 35, of 340B Fieldpoint Blvd., Frederick, distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute and possession of cocaine; Edward Bernard Ambush, Jr., 29, of 340 Fieldpoint Blvd., possession of cocaine; and Dale Alonzo Hill, 27, of 11626 Summer Oak Drive, Germantown, Md., possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Horse killed in Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. - State police in Frederick said a horse was killed late Thursday night when it was struck by a compact pickup truck on Ball Road near Tabler Road.

The driver of the truck, Keith Allen Selzer, 29, of Union Bridge, was not injured, police said.

Police said the animal ran into the road in front of Selzer's truck.
