SHARPSBURG - Antietam National Battlefield Visitors' Center will be open 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. today through Thursday, Sept. 18. The center will be open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, through Sunday, Sept. 21.

There is a $2 per person or $4 per family fee to enter the park. For information, call 301-432-5124.

1 p.m. - battlefield hike, midday phase

1:30 p.m. - battlefield auto tour

2 p.m. - Author, educator and minister Warren Kissinger will speak at the annual Dunker Church service. The service, organized by Sharpsburg Church of the Brethren, recreates an old style of worship, with lined hymn singing. Visitors can park outside the church during the service, or take a free shuttle bus running every half hour between Sharpsburg and the battlefield.
