Sportsmen's league holding second annual expo

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - The Fulton County Sportsmen's League is holding its second annual Outdoor Expo Saturday and Sunday at the Fulton County Fairgrounds, just off old U.S. 30.

The expo is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Included in this year's exhibits are a live trophy whitetail and elk show, taxidermy displays and the latest hunting and fishing supplies, including an expanded archery display. New this year will be exhibits and seminars on waterfowling.

National organizations represented at the expo include the Safari Club, National Rifle Association, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Wild Turkey Federation and Duck's Unlimited, among others.

State and federal agencies will also be available for information, including the state Game Commission, the Fish Commission and the Bureau of Forestry.


The latest in watercraft will be displayed, along with all-terrain and sport utility vehicles.

Seminars also will be held both days on subjects such as deer scents and lures, turkey calling and antler rattling. Food also will be available.

A fishing derby will be held for children under age 10.

Admission is $3 for adults. Children under 12 get in free. Parking also is free.
