Rotarians seek candidates for foreign study program

August 29, 1997

Rotarians of District 7350 are seeking four outstanding business and professional people to visit France in 1998 through the Group Study Exchange Program of The Rotary Foundation.

The program strives to improve international understanding by enabling people from different countries to learn from each other. Teams of four business or professional persons will be exchanged with the Bordeaux region of France for a four-week visit in the spring of 1998.

While abroad, team members stay with Rotarians to observe their host's way of life and to study the nation's economic, social and cultural characteristics through travel and discussions within participating Rotary districts. Team members also have the opportunity to meet their professional counterparts.

Applicants must be in the early stages of their business or profession and plan to continue in that field for the foreseeable future. They may not be related in any way to a Rotarian. Most costs are borne by the Rotary Foundation. For an application, call Dick Schukraft at 301-739-9429 or Frank Erck at 301-733-6300 ext. 159.
