MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Martinsburg woman was sentenced to five years probation Thursday in the theft of money from the Canteen Food Service at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office in Wheeling.
Rosalee Collins, 58, was also fined $2,680 by U.S. District Judge W. Craig Broadwater and ordered to pay $1,340 restitution at her sentencing in U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, the release said.
Collins pleaded guilty on May 15 to stealing about $1,340 between Sept. 29, 1992, and May 18, 1993, while she worked as a cashier at the Canteen Food Service, the release said.
