IJAMSVILLE, Md. - An Ijamsville man was killed Wednesday afternoon after his pickup truck crossed the center line into the path of a UPS truck in southeast Frederick County, according to Maryland State Police.
Michael Vogt, 34, lost control of the southbound 1993 Toyota 1000 pickup in the rain around 12:30 p.m. on Md. 75 almost a mile north of Md. 355, police said.
The UPS truck driver, Scott Burall, 40, of Ijamsville, was in good condition at Frederick Memorial Hospital on Wednesday night, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The accident closed Md. 75 for about 2 1/2 hours, police said.
