CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man was shot in the head early Saturday and a suspect is still at large, Chambersburg Borough Police said.
Joseph Brumfield, 24, of 179 Second St., was treated and released at Chambersburg Hospital after being shot with a small-caliber handgun at about 3:24 a.m., police said.
Brumfield was shot at the corner of West South Street and Hollywell Avenue, police said.
Police have a warrant to arrest Anthony L. Jackson, 28, a black male of no fixed address, on attempted murder and aggravated assault charges.
Police said they didn't know of a motive.
The gunshots were loud enough to wake up some Civil War reenactors who were camping in a park near the Coyle Free Library, several blocks away from the shooting, the reenactors said.
