A storm Wednesday knocked out power to between 200 and 300 customers in Washington County.
Emergency dispatchers reported trees knocked down in a couple of places and Allegheny Power officials said crews worked for hours to restore power.
Company spokeswoman Debbie Beck said the storm knocked down a power line on Leitersburg Pike near Battletown Road, which disrupted electricity to about 50 homes. Elsewhere, power outages were sporadic, she said.
"What we got was a lot of scattered outages. That takes a lot longer to correct," she said.
