The Washington County Commissioners have proposed that they hold monthly meetings with the Hagerstown City Council to discuss common issues such as water and sewer, tourism and economic development.
The two groups have met quarterly, but Commissioners President Gregory I. Snook said more frequent meetings could help improve cooperation between the two.
Councilman Lewis C. Metzner said he favors such meetings if they are productive.
"When you say what is there to discuss, it's m-o-n-e-y. I am sure water and sewer will be on their agenda and the Fairgrounds will be on ours," he said.
