Robin Williams and Billy Crystal, two of the funniest guys alive and the stars of the new comedy "Father's Day," pop up on "Friends" tonight at 8 on NBC. The show has been great lately at highlighting guests, and with Mrs. Doubtfire and Mr. Saturday Night, you know you will laugh.

Tomorrow night at 10 on NBC, you probably won't. "Homicide: Life on the Street," the most wrenching show on television, begins a two-part season finale. The very fine Isabella Hoffman returns as Megan Russert, and the plot involves the suicide of a former member of the squad. A similar story line two seasons ago proved to be among the best hours of television ever from a weekly drama.
