The driver took off at a high rate of speed, followed by several officers, police said. Officers chased the car through town and eastbound on Gashouse Pike, where the driver lost control and hit a guardrail at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, police said.
Officers found a knife on the youth, police said.
They said the teen was charged with possession of a stolen car, unauthorized use of a car, fleeing and eluding, speeding, running stop signs and red lights, going the wrong way on a one-way street, hit and run and making unsafe lane changes.
Detectives from Falls Church were notified, police said.
Police search for burglar, find drugs
Police investigating a reported breaking and entering at a Frederick, Md., apartment on Thursday ended up arresting the residents on drug charges.
Frederick City Police said they arrested Shelley J. McLane, 22, and Angela N. Simpson, 20, both of Elmwood Terrace Apartments, and charged them with possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intention to manufacture.
Officers said they went to the apartment where they made contact with one of the women, who allowed them to search the apartment for a possible suspect in the breakin. They said the woman told them she was asleep when the crime occurred and feared someone could still be inside.
Officer Jerry Morales, his police dog "Bruno" and a second officer searched and found no suspect, police said. They did see in plain view numerous drug smoking devices, approximately 90 grams of marijuana seeds, a quantity of powdered cocaine and other forms of drug paraphernalia.
While police were in the apartment the second woman came home, and both women were arrested, police said.
Md. State Police charge three teens
Maryland State Police in Frederick, Md., on Friday arrested three boys age 13, 14 and 15 in connection with a series of burlaries and thefts in the Linganore Road area of Frederick.
Two of the boys were from the Linganore area and the third was from Frederick City, state police said.
Police said their investigation showed that on several different days during the week the boys would skip school and break into outbuildings and houses in the Linganore area and steal money, bikes, fishing equipment and other items.
Some property was recovered at the juveniles' homes, and some was thrown in different locations along the Monocacy River, police said. Some items were recovered from the river, they said.
Police said the juveniles were charged with numerous counts of second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property, conspiracy to commit burglary and trespassing.
Police search for four missing teens
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Pennsylvania State Police are looking for four Fayetteville, Pa., area young people who left their homes shortly after 5:15 Friday and have not been seen since.
Police said they believe the four runaways, all white, are together.
They were identified as: Lauren Leigh Ewing, 11, who has brown hair and eyes, 4 feet 6 inche tall and weighs 81 pounds; Jeremy Robert Allen, 10, who has brown hair and eyes, 4 feet tall and weighs 65 pounds; Nathan Anthony Ott, 13, who has brown hair and eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds; Jeremy Keith Higgins, 12, who has blond hair and blue eyes, 4 feet tall and weighs 70 pounds.

Pa. dog is missing
MERCERSBURG, Pa. - A 14-year-old peek-a-poo dog wearing a pink, black, green and orange sweater was reported missing by its owner, Gaylord Guyer of 9950 Buchanan Trail West, Mercersburg, Pa., overnight Saturday, Pennsvylania State Police said.
The owner said he watched as his dog Fluffy walked around the back of his trailer and did not return. He said the dog, blond in color, has his left eye sewn shut and is partially blind in the right eye.
