Moser named to National Sheriff's Association post

A Hagerstown resident has been appointed executive director of the National Sheriff's Association, a law enforcement trade organization.

Aldine "Bubby" Moser Jr. is the fifth person to hold the national post since the organization began 57 years ago.

Moser, who has served the NSA for more than 13 years, has held positions of assistant director of jail operations, director of membership and insurance programs, and director of jail operations. He became assistant executive director in 1989.

Active in law enforcement since 1964, Moser served in corporate, municipal, county, state public safety and correctional service capacities.

The National Sheriff's Association is based in Alexandria, Va.
