Boy injured as go-cart hits truck

FREDERICK, Md. - A juvenile was injured when the go-cart he was riding in collided with a Dodge truck Friday at about 1:30 p.m., according to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office.

The accident occurred in the 5900 block of Bartonsville Road when the boy traveled down a driveway into the street and failed to yield the right of way, police said.

The boy suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital, police said. The driver of the truck, Charles Fraley of Frederick, was not injured.


Men face more charges

Additional charges have been filed against two Hagerstown men who were arrested Monday for possession of stolen property, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Department.

Anthony Alfred Britti, 19, of 929 Maryland Ave., was charged with one count of theft and Benjamin Wayne Hughes, of 124 Ray St., was charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Britti and Hughes were initially arrested Monday and charged after $819 in tools stolen in Williamsport tools were found in a vehicle.

Hughes was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

On Wednesday, property stolen Feb. 4 from a vehicle in St. James, including two snowboards, was recovered in Hagerstown and Williamsport.

Vehicle damaged

WILLIAMSPORT - A rock was thrown through the windshield of a vehicle owned by Carrie Lewis at 34 N. Conocheague St. sometime late Thursday or early Friday, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Department.
