Coy re-elected to leadership position

December 03, 1996

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - State Rep. Jeff Coy has been re-elected by his colleagues to serve a third term in a leadership position for the Democratic Caucus.

Elected as Caucus Secretary, Coy now serves in the fourth-highest leadership position in the minority party.

"I am honored that my colleagues have elected me to serve as their caucus secretary for the next two years," Coy said. "This is a position which allows me to become closely involved in the important decisions in Harrisburg and provide a stronger voice for the residents of the 89th District.

"Not only will I be better able to represent the interests of the people in Franklin and Cumberland counties, but I will be the only representative in leadership from central Pennsylvania."

As secretary, Coy will be responsible for certain administrative duties, keeping votes on the House floor and working with leadership on policy-making decisions.
