CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg man has been charged with raping his girlfriend and splashing kerosene on her while threatening to burn down her house, according to court records.

Nathanial Dailey, 39, of 7 W. Catherine St., was arrested by Chambersburg Police on Monday night, police said.

Dailey allegedly raped the woman at her Rocky Spring Road home in Hamilton Township on Friday, according to records filed in the office of District Justice Gary Carter.

Dailey is charged with rape, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, court records said.

The attacker allegedly became angry with the woman because he suspected she was cheating on him, grabbed her by the throat and threw her on the couch, court records said.

He slapped her in the face, threatened to burn her house and then splashed kerosene on her, records said.

Then he wanted to have sex, records said.

"The victim was afraid to say no for fear that the defendant would hit her some more so she consented," court records said.

The woman had scratches and a large bruise on her face, court records said.

A preliminary hearing has been set for 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 22 before Carter.
